Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, businesswoman, inventor and model who hails from Australia. Melissa George started out her modeling career as an actress and model in Australia, but eventually she moved to Hollywood. George, a native of Perth in Western Australia, was originally interested in dance and roller skating. She also enjoyed artistic roller skating. George began her modeling career when she was a teenager and won the Western Australian Teenage Model in 1992. Following that year, she was in an episode of the Seven Network's soap-opera Home and Away. The big screen debut came on Dark City, a mystery thriller. She then played various supporting roles on projects including Alias The Limey or Down with Love. In 2005 she made her first major Hollywood appearance on The Amityville Horror remake. Her current role is among the most coveted actors from Australia within the American entertainment business. George being an entrepreneur, has launched her own products Style Snaps on the market.
