
Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson (born July 10, 1980)[1She is an American singer, actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Simpson who was just 17 years old, began her career in church choirs. The singer was signed to Columbia Records in 1997. Sweet Kisses (1999), her debut album, was sold two million copies across America. The lead single "I I Wanna Love You Forever" was a commercial hit. Simpson's second studio album, Irresistible was a more mature release. Its title track became Simpson's second highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 entry. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album gold. This Skin (2003) was her third studio album. It was a huge success, selling three million copies in the United States. In her previous professional career, Simpson became known for her relationship with and subsequent wedding to Nick Lachey along with whom she also appeared on MTV reality television series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica between 2003 between 2003 and 2005. Simpson made her film debut in The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). As the soundtrack for the film, she also composed a cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walking" She released her fifth album, A Public Affair, in 2006, and was also featured in the romantic comedy film Employee of the month. Simpson began to move into country music after the release of her sixth album Do You Know (2008).
